Kia Ora Little Red Fox Whānau. My name is Amy and I am one of the teachers within this beautiful centre and I work part-time here.
I am a born and breed Nelsonian, as-well as a very passionate and proud New Zealander.
I have a teaching background of 10 years and throughout those years I have developed a strong interest of all 3 national languages. I believe it's important to learn alongside and from the children/tamariki (giving them a sense of empowerment). Becoming a mother a few years ago allowed me to gain a stronger understanding about what parents want and need from a teacher/centre. I love supporting families in giving their child/children the best development that they can get.
A love of mine is sports and I come from a very sporting family. I try to include this love regularly throughout my teaching practice in some way or another.
I’m looking forward to meeting everyone very soon and starting this adventure with you all.
